Who can use Amity Connect

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to create an account. Individual accounts are free. Organizations (recovery homes, treatment programs, and other aftercare providers) can create a provider account; provider pricing beyond the initial trial period isn't live yet and will be published separately when it is.

Not a medical service

Amity Connect is a peer-support and self-tracking tool. It is not a substitute for professional medical, psychiatric, or addiction treatment, and nothing on the site is medical advice. If you're in crisis, call or text 988, call SAMHSA at 1-800-662-HELP (4357), or call 911. Don't wait for a reply on the app.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us right away at hello@amityconnect.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

Your content

You own what you post — check-ins, journal entries, goals, workbook answers, forum posts, messages. By posting content with a visibility setting other than "only me," you're granting the people covered by that setting (friends, the community, your linked program) permission to view it within the app. We don't claim ownership of your content and don't use it to train external AI models or sell it to third parties.

Acceptable use

Be a decent person. Don't harass, threaten, or discriminate against other members; don't impersonate anyone; don't solicit or advertise outside of the provider tools built for that purpose; don't share someone else's private information without their consent; don't use the platform to distribute illegal content or to practice medicine without a license. Community-specific expectations live in our Community Guidelines. We can remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms, including via the reporting and moderation system described there.

Provider organizations

If you set up a provider account for a recovery home, treatment program, or similar organization, you're responsible for the conduct of staff you add and for how your organization uses any workbook exercise a client has chosen to share with you. Client sharing is opt-in and revocable at any time — assigning an exercise never grants you automatic access to it.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time by emailing hello@amityconnect.com. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or put other members at risk.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Amity Connect is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Amity Connect and its operators aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing here limits liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product changes. We'll update the date at the top when we do; continued use after a change means you accept the update.
